Redding Wiki Regulations

In order to create a more professional environment worthy of Redding's excellence there needs to be a few regulations. If you have any suggestions, comments, questions, complaints, compliments, etc on this subject please put them down under comments.

All public pages will be styled in the Neutral Point of View (NPOV) fashion. This Wiki is not to harass, defame, criticize, or be used for personal attacks nor shall it be used to overly compliment a public figure. A public figure is generally defined as a politician but can also be individuals that have a high amount of influence, activity, or responsibility in Redding. A public figure may have a user page and a public page at the same time. All editors may edit public pages including the user in which the public page is being edited about. All public pages should follow a NPOV philosophy. All public pages of people or users in Redding will be contacted as to the existence of their public page and the administrators will work to resolve any problems between the community and the public figure. Everyone who makes comments on a public figure page must use their real name and are free to express their opinions but must source any facts.

Only users of their own user page may edit their user page. Other users may post comments if they so choose. Users have complete sovereignty over their user pages.

They are banned. Also accounts with names other than your own will also be banned. Identity theft is not tolerated. Real names are required to make sure that those making comments and edits are willing to stand by their statements, so as to promote truth and validity, and to help prevent sock puppets.

Users with accounts other than your real name will be banned. This will prevent personal attacks on businesses and public figures from shady individuals.

If an administrator reverts a page and you are not in agreement with that revert or change talk it over on a talk page. If you continually revert a page against an administrator you may be given a few warnings before banned.

Banned user's pages will be shortly deleted after they are banned to protect the one being banned from unwanted edits to their pages.

To keep things family friendly, no profanity.

Comments about a page (as opposed to about the subject of a page) should be eliminated once a consensus has been reached, to minimize clutter on a page.
