This office administers general and special municipal elections; records and indexes minutes of agencies' official proceedings; manages compliance with the Political Reform Act as filing official for Statements of Economic Interest and Campaign Statements for City officials; maintains the City's legislative history and official records; administers oaths, licensing programs, and issues miscellaneous permits; coordinates logistical requirements for City boards and commission appointments; publishes ordinances and public notices; maintains the Redding Municipal Code; prepares and posts City Council, Redding Area Bus Authority (RABA), and Housing Authority agendas.
The Records Management Division of the City Clerk's Office is responsible for micrographics—which includes: operating the Records Center; maintaining, for retrieval purposes, inactive records and microfilmed documents.
